Villaggio Albergo S. Lorenzo e S.ta Caterina  Place : VILLAGGIO ALBERGO SAN LORENZO & SANTA CATERINA San Lorenzo di Pescia (PT) In pescia at the foot of the little villane dedicated to San Lorenzo, the Patron Saint, around a little and old churc (dated 1.500) and near a well-known water source, two important paper mills werw born in 17th Century: "San Lorenzo and Cerreto" these werw famous, at the beginning, for the production of valuable hand-made paper and after for white and grey ones with air drying system. These historical factories ceased their production, one in 1960 and the other in 1975. Since than, they have their original function no more but the impressive machineries are now proof of the past. Nowadays, after a long and accurate work of restructuring, all the area including the two buildings rises again and this green area on the hills, crossed by the Pescia river, that has the same name of the town, famous for flowers production, is the frame of an important touristic complex. The first building is the Hotel & Residence SAN LORENZO, with 6 flats, "two rooms, kitchenette and shower-room", 9 suites and 21 double-bedrooms. All internal design and equipments have been choosen with the aim to offer a warm traditional athmosphere. Climatization in most of the rooms. The enoteca and Restaurant "LA CARTIERA" of the old paper-mill is a typical site that in its internal preserves the old machineries and it's destined to the enogastronomic products tasting. The Porter's lodge, living rooms, reading and entertainment rooms complete the hospitality of this site, ideal for relaxing holidays, fishing and trekking find here their natural environment.
